Martian Illusion

A collection of saggar-fired vases inspired by an imagined Mars colony. While inhabiting otherworldly planets remains a distant dream, these forms reflect the beauty of the world we already call home.

Saggar firing is an act of controlled surrender. Organic materials are packed around the clay, and the kiln does the rest - burning, smoking, leaving its mark in ways that can’t be fully predicted or repeated. These surfaces are not designed. They’re discovered.
